About Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences
Established in 2022 as a constituent college of Uttaranchal University, the Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences is set within the lush green campus of the University and complies with all prescribed norms and regulations of National and State statutory bodies. The college is also recognized from the Uttarakhand State Government and Uttarakhand Para Medical Council. UCHS offers five undergraduate Paramedical programs—Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology, Bachelor in Medical Radio Imaging Technology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology, and Bachelor of Optometry. In 2023, postgraduate programs including Master of Public Health and Master of Hospital Administration were introduced under UCHS. Supported by state-of-the-art research laboratories, well-equipped modern instrumentation, latest technology, and complemented by an attached parent hospital, the institution strives to provide robust theoretical and hands-on training. Practical exposure for students is further enhanced through structured clinical postings, internships in hospitals and participation in healthcare community outreach activities, thereby nurturing competent, skilled, and future-ready healthcare professionals.
About ISRT
The Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (ISRT), established in 1997 and restructured in 2007, is the apex professional body for radiographers in India, dedicated to advancing professional standards, academic excellence, and quality patient care through active state chapters and educational initiatives. At the regional level, the ISRT Uttarakhand State Chapter, inaugurated in Dehradun on 07 December 2025, promotes professional development, academic collaboration, and member welfare. Together, these organizations work synergistically to elevate standards, encourage knowledge exchange, and strengthen the radiography profession at state, national, and international levels.
